Fishdog Films is owned and operated by Jerry Darkes. Fishdog Films DVDs are directed, produced and written by Jerry Darkes. In addition to Fishdog Films, Jerry is the owner of Angling Consulting Services an independent manufacturers sales representative group specializing in fly fishing and related outdoor equipment.
Jerry has been fly fishing and tying flies for nearly 40 years and has over 25 years experience as a fly fishing guide and instructor. He is U.S. Coast Guard and State of Ohio licensed guide. Jerry has been published in several fishing magazines including American Angler, Fly Tyer, Saltwater Fly Fishing, Warmwater Flyfishing, and Wild Salmon and Steelhead. He is currently a field editor for Midwest Fly Fishing magazine. He is featured in several books about Great Lakes area fly fishing and has been featured with Brian Fleshig of Mad River Outfitters in Mad River Media productions fly fishing series Chasing Silver and Steelheading Made Simple.
